Installing Tape-Ins

After washing your hair with shampoo only, completely drying and brushing it, you can start attaching the Tape extensions.

Part the hair into sections. Take a suitable amount of hair and apply a Tape extension underneath, approx. 3–5 mm from the scalp. Then attach a new Tape extension to the top of your own hair. Carefully squeeze out any air with pliers.

Do not wash or style the hair for at least two days after inserting the tapes.
Step 2.
Determine how many tape strips fit in your section. There should be approximately 2 centimeters free at both ends of your hairline. Use your pointed comb to pick up a thin strip of your own hair. The strip must be the same width as the piece of tape. The strip must be neither too thin nor too thick. It is essential that the section is straight, as a crooked section can damage your hair.
Step 3.
Take your first strip of tape with the adhesive side up and place it close to your scalp under the section you just created. Make sure it is not too tight, as that can put strain on your hair. Place your own hair over the tape, without touching the tape with your fingers. Use your pointed comb to press the hair onto the tape. Place a new strip of tape on top with the tape facing downwards to make a 'tape sandwich'. Make sure they overlap exactly and press the tape strips firmly together to avoid air bubbles.
Step 4.
Repeat the process of distributing and securing over the entire section. For the next section, there should be approximately 2 centimeters above the last tape section.
Step 5.
As soon as you have finished applying the tape extensions to the back of your head, it is time to start on the sides. You need to section and secure them in exactly the same way. It is only important to create sections that curve slightly upwards towards the face. This ensures a more natural look and makes it easier to put your hair up. Make the sections so that the front corner slopes slightly upward towards your face – you will see this naturally as you work with it.
Step 1.
Start with a horizontal parting in your hair, approximately 3-5 centimeters from your hairline at the nape of your neck. Always start from the bottom – this makes it easier to make adjustments and manage your own hair and the extensions.
