  • Divide your hair into horizontal lines, starting at the nape of the neck.
  • Tease the section of hair you are applying the clip to. This prevents the clips from slipping out.
  • Distribute the clips from the neck upwards so that all the hair is distributed and hides the transition to your own hair.
  • Finish by styling the hair so that it has a nice and natural finish that blends with your own hair.

Choosing a Length

When choosing the length of your hair extensions, it is important to keep in mind that a good rule of thumb is not to exceed double the length of your natural hair. For example, if your hair is 25 cm long from your parting, your extensions should be no longer than 50 cm. This ensures that the transition between your natural hair and the extensions looks seamless and does not place excessive weight on your hair.

The length of extensions can vary depending on an individual’s height. The longer you are, the shorter extensions will feel and vice versa. A helpful way to determine where a specific length will end is to use a measuring tape and hold it next to the top of your ear, then measure downwards 30-70 cm to see where the extensions will end approximately.
