With proper care and maintenance, our hair extensions can last 6-8 months for blondes and 8-12 months for brunettes. All Extensionaire extensions come with a 5-month warranty for added assurance. Learn more here.

I HAVE SHORT HAIR, CAN I WEAR TAPE-INS?

If your hair is cut completely short – then the answer is no.

In general, we recommend that you have at least 15-20 centimetres of hair before you can get the natural and seamless transition.

HOW LONG CAN I WEAR TAPE-INS?

Depending on how fast your hair grows, it can vary how long your extensions can stay in your hair.

In general, your extensions can stay in your hair for about 2 months. However, some think they need to be removed sooner – others later.

WILL TAPE-INS DAMAGE MY HAIR?

The short answer is: no.

The long answer is:
Most damage occurs when hair extensions are not used correctly. If you make sure to follow our step-by-step guide, extensions are not harmful to your hair.

However, if you experience discomfort while wearing your extensions, you should always take them out. They are not meant to damage or tear your hair.

CAN I DYE TAPE-INS?

Our extensions are made from 100% real human hair, which means you can dye them – but not necessarily that you should.

We recommend that you avoid permanent hair colour for your extensions, instead use a semi-permanent.

HOW DO I WASH MY HAIR WITH TAPE-INS?

How you should wash and care for your extensions depends on the type of hair extensions you have. Ready-to-wear extensions should be washed by hand and semi-permanent extensions should be washed while they are in the hair.

Don’t worry, you will receive an Aftercare Card with your order.

CAN I USE HEAT ON MY EXTENSIONS?

All of our extensions are made from 100% real human hair, which means you can heat style them just like you would your own hair.

A round of straightening can soften your extensions and give them more shine as it seals in the hair’s cuticle. So it’s a good idea to finish your hair care with some heat protection and a straightener.

Always remember to use heat protection before you use any heating tools.
